Matthew and Mariya met in Ridgefield, WA at God’s Word Baptist Church. You can truly say that God planned for these two individual to meet. You see Matthew and Mariya were born in different countries and didn’t even know that the other even existed until the end of year 2007. Matthew, a young American man held his residency in Woodland, WA all his life. While Mariya, a young Ukrainian girl moved to the States in 1995, mainly residing in the Vancouver, WA area. After becoming real good friends it wasn’t long before they figured out that they were interested in each other. 😀 They started their courtship June 17th, 2009, Matthew asked for Mariya’s hand in marriage on December 30th, 2009 and finally they were married on May 29th, 2010. 😀 You can read THE engagement story here.

God blessed them with joyous news a month after they where wed. They were going to be parents!!

Our precious daughter was born January 14th, 2011. She was 2 months premature due to Mariya having severe pre-eclampsia. She was born at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital at 3:58pm via c-section, weighing in at 4lb 1oz and 17 inches long.

21 months later we were blessed with another miracle. Our sweet baby boy was born two weeks late in the comfort of their new home in Woodland. Weighing in at 7 lbs exactly.
